Innovative Environmental Technologies
Western has developed and employed new methods to treat regulated waste, soil and polluted ground water. On one project, Western developed a new treatment technology to render hazardous waste non-hazardous. This technique was approved for full scale cleanup use. It involves the applications of agents to toxic heavy metal waste (Lead) in contaminated soil to change the characteristics and make it a non-hazardous waste. This process saved one of our customers hundreds of thousands of dollars in waste disposal transportation and disposal costs.
We have conducted bench scale cleanup experiments to determine if a certain process can be used to reduce site cleanup costs. Bench scale tests can be performed to determine the most cost effective ways to remediate waste accumulations and environmental pollutants found in soil and contaminated ground water. Why not try small scale waste treatment methods to see if your disposal or cleanup costs can be reduced?
- Petroleum waste water is being evaporated to prevent the need for offsite disposal
- A solar powered oil skimming system is used for site cleanup in a remote area
